The Effectiveness of the Inter-American Human Rights System in a Furious Age

Abstract

The history of the inter-American human rights system has been determined by the political context and the reality of human rights violations. Under this premise, this paper seeks to determine what are the challenges and the limits that reality imposes on the human rights protection bodies in the region in order to be able to fulfill their own functions and thus legitimize their actions.
