The discussion on abortion in Chile (prohibit/permit) tends to be centered on only one perspective- that of rightsand in fact in an specific aspect of this perspective, if the “nasciturus” is a person or not. This makes the discussion in Chile a partial one. This paper aims at showing not only that other aspects are important to discuss in this perspective, but also that it is necessary to take into account another perspective on the morality of abortion: the demandability of pregnancy. This paper asserts that a more integral discussion on the morality of abortion should consider both perspectives and address all the points and problems demanded by each one.
