The right to defense and legal aid compared models: elements to consider in reforming the legal aid system in Chile

The legal aid system in Chile has changed significantly in recent years, incorporating a new way to understand the legal aid that the State provides to people. However, this is still an area to perform extensive reform in order to overcome deficiencies related to its efficiency and its consistency with the Constitution.
